<p>With stiff competition from local SouthEast Asian streaming video providers: Hooq, and <a href="http://www.demystifyasia.com/iflix/">Iflix</a>, despite its well known brand, Netflix has to heavily promote their shows in order to grab subscription dollars.</p>
<p>In the video below, Netflix uses popular Singlish (Singaporean English) terms to try to localize what is essentially a quintessential American cultural show: Orange is the New Black. Whether this works to grow their subscriber base remains to be seen; however, it is being shared organically by local users in the region.</p>
